Happy Back Yoga
In this class, we will explore two important concepts in yoga therapy: Maintaining the natural curves of the spine and Balancing Flexibility and Mobility. We will cover basic anatomy of the lumbar spine and pelvis and practice sequences that will leave you with a happier and healthier back. The Purna Yoga Hip Series will be taught and the importance of spinal traction in asana practice will be discussed. You will leave feeling taller, lighter and pain free!
Neck and Shoulders Therapy
:The upper back, neck and shoulders are areas that hold a great deal of tension and stress. In this class, we will learn how to release the "weight of the world" through therapeutic yoga asana aimed at correcting posture and targeting these areas of tightness. You will feel lighter and freer, with more joy and capacity for loving presence.
Rachel Krentzman PT, E-RYT, C-IAYT combines over 20 years of physiotherapy and yoga therapy experience. She is the author of two books: "Yoga for a Happy Back: A Teacher’s Guide to Spinal Health through Yoga Therapy" and "Scoliosis, Yoga Therapy and The Art of Letting Go". A graduate of McGill University, Rachel completed her 2000-hour teacher training with Aadil Palkhivala at the College of Purna Yoga and has studied intensively with Judith Hanson Lasater. Rachel recently opened Physi-Yoga, a therapeutic yoga studio and physiotherapy center in Ra'anana, Israel. She is also the co-director of Wisdom-Body Yoga Therapy, an 800 hour training for yoga therapists in Israel.
