The Physiology of Yoga

In this informative and dynamic workshop, Dr. Yang, with her expertise on the human body and 20 years of yoga teaching experience, will digest modern medicine and physiology into an understandable, tangible, and experiential workshop. Then, you will to experience the interplay of the cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological systems as you flow through a dynamic sequence of asana and pranayama followed by a deep savasana.

 

Ingrid Yang M.D., J.D., E-RYT 500, C-IAYT is a deeply knowledgeable, and incredibly creative and inspiring teacher. She has been teaching yoga since 1999 and is a physician specializing in Internal Medicine, based in San Diego, CA. Ingrid leads classes, trainings, and workshops all over the United States, Australia, Europe and Asia. Her classes are upbeat and energetic, incorporating a vigorous vinyasa flow with dharma teaching and a strong understanding of movement kinesiology. In her past lives, she Ingrid was an intellectual property attorney, founder and owner of Blue Point Yoga Center, and a jazz singer in Australia.
